Addiction and Overdose Support
Cloud Nine College encourages students to learn about overdose prevention and Naloxone.
Naloxone is a medication that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. In British Columbia, free Take Home Naloxone kits are available through many participating pharmacies and community distribution sites.

Students may also ask a nearby participating pharmacy whether free Naloxone kits are available. Many community pharmacies in British Columbia provide free Naloxone kits to eligible individuals.
In the event of a suspected overdose:
- Call 911 immediately.
- Give Naloxone if available.
- Follow the 911 operator’s instructions.
- Stay with the person until emergency help arrives.
