Program Overview
The IBTM with FITT skills diploma program provides FITT skills Courses form the educational backbone for achieving the globally recognized Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation. By completing FITT skills courses, you earn the FITT Diploma, which is a key step toward CITP certification. The CITP credential validates your international trade expertise and opens doors to global opportunities.
Program Highlights
- Students will get Could Nine College IBTMD Diploma (when every courses are finished), FITT Certificate (when the first 3 FITT courses are finished), and FITT Diploma (when all 6 FITT courses are finished)
- Led by industry professionals who work in International trade, business, investment and product management, students will benefit from entrepreneurial perspectives and be ‘job-ready’ upon completion.
- Fosters understanding and hands-on application of business theories and strategies necessary to function within a global economy.
- Develops cross-cultural interpersonal, communication, and managerial skills.
- Potential for additional international business credentials: Qualified graduates may apply for the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation through the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).
Co-Op Work Experience
Completion of the paid Co-Op work experience, a vital component of the of the IBTMD program, is required for graduation. The CNC Co-Op Coordinator will work with students to find suitable work opportunities in their respective fields where students will gain valuable on-the-job experience, develop their new skills and become more employable upon graduation.
The program culminates with a capstone project that consolidates academic and applied learning and gives the opportunity for the students to demonstrate their learning gained during the program.

Admission Requirements
Grade 12 (equivalent) / GED / Mature Student Status*
*Mature students are people who have been out of full-time formal education for at least 4 years and can demonstrate needed academic potential through a range of achievements and life experiences beyond academics.
English Language Requirements
- Evidence that 3 years of full-time secondary (Grade 8-12) or post-secondary education has been completed in the the program’s language of instruction in a country where the program’s language of instruction is one of the principal languages. (Language courses cannot be included in this calculation), OR
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: Minimum overall score of 5.5, OR
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) IBT: Overall score of 46, OR
- Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test (CLB PT): Listening 6, Speaking 6, Reading 5, and Writing 5, OR
- Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP): Listening 6, Speaking 6, Reading 5, and Writing 5, OR
- Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): Overall score of 40.
